What is Befriending?

To provide moral & emotional support, and companionship

To encourage befriendees to socialise through communal activities

Who are the befriendees?

Beneficiaries who are above 65 years old, and experiencing loneliness & social isolation
What are the skills required?
-
Friendly & caring nature, with good listening & communication skills
-
Preferably able to speak Malay as most of our seniors are Malay-speaking
-
Those with befriending experience is a plus
YOUTH MENTORING
What is Youth Mentioring?

To motivate youth to grow and realise their potentials
-
To guide & equip them to be self-reliant and future-ready

To encourage youths to lead a healthy, risk-free lifestyle

Who are the mentees?

Students in Secondary schools & above
What are the skills required?
-
Above the age of 21 years old

A sincere desire to be involved with youths

Good listening & communication skills
-
Those with youth mentoring experience is a plus
FAMILY SUPPORT GROUP
What is family support?

Provide moral support, & encouragement to the families.

Referrals to other assistance schemes for the parents & their children
Who are the participants?

Single parent families
-
Family with young children & preschoolers
-
Caregivers of family members with high medical needs
What are we looking for in volunteers?

Able to organise activities/workshops

Family bonding

Recreational, Educational & Cultural

Those with background in counselling is a plus
