About PERTAPIS
PERTAPIS is a charitable organisation dedicated to uplifting vulnerable individuals and families through care, support and empowerment.

For over 55 years, we have been serving the community by providing shelter, rehabilitation and social support to those facing life's challenges. Through our four welfare homes and community programmes, we support children and youths, women and girls, seniors, ex-offenders and lower-income families.
Today, PERTAPIS operates the Children's Home, Centre for Women & Girls, Senior Citizens Fellowship Home and Halfway House, while also supporting over 500 lower-income families through community assistance programmes.
Guided by our values of compassion, dignity and service, we remain committed to building stronger lives, stronger families and a stronger community.

PERTAPIS was registered under the Societies Act in 1970. It is an approved organisation under the Charities Act, Cap 37 and has also
been conferred the status of an Institution of Public Character (IPC), IPC No: IPC000455 and can issue tax-exempt receipt for donations.
Our Mission is to provide quality education and social services by empowering individuals and the community.

Our Vision is to be the model Social Service Provider for the community.

Our Core Values:

Our History
PERTAPIS was founded in 1969 by a group of young aspiring Muslims who believed in the importance of moral and religious education in building strong and resilient individuals.
Rooted in the kampung spirit of mutual care and support, PERTAPIS began as a self-help organisation dedicated to uplifting those in need. As Singapore progressed and communities moved into housing estates, that spirit of helping one another continued through welfare initiatives, community programmes and volunteer efforts.

From these humble beginnings, PERTAPIS has grown into an Institution of a Public Character (IPC), serving vulnerable individuals and families through welfare homes and community support programmes.

Today, while our services have expanded, our mission remains the same — to empower lives, strengthen families and build a caring community for all.
