Welcome!
At PERTAPIS we engage in self-help projects for the betterment of the community's welfare in Singapore.
As an approved charitable organization with the status of an Institution of Public Character (IPC), we aim to reach out and help the community in line with our vision: "The Best we can be in the Service to the Community"
The PERTAPIS Senior Citizen Fellowship Home was set up with the assistance of the National Council of Social Services (NCSS) and the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS), to meet the demands of providing a sheltered home for elderly destitute. The Home has residential facilities catering to the needs of 40 ambulant senior citizens.
Our Programmes
At PERTAPIS Senior Citizen Fellowship Home, we designed our programmes to help our residents maintain their mobility and acceptable health.
| Programme | |
| Physiotherapy | Improve the residents’ mobility, physical and mental capability which would eventually maximize their functional independence |
| Religious | This programme is only meant for Muslim residents. It is conducted by volunteers to focus on Islamic moral values and practice of daily prayers |
| Recreational | Staff and volunteers regularly conduct outings for residents to give them a sense of freedom and enable the elderly to maintain their independence within the community |
| Community Involvement Program (CIP) | The Home welcome students on the CIP as it helps them to interact and communicate with the elderly residents |
Our Appeal
We need volunteers to help and be part of our programmes such as Community Involvement Program, Therapy Programme and many others. Alternatively, you may wish to volunteer in organising and / or joining in excursions for our residents.
We also need help from donors and sponsors to sustain the operational cost of our programmes, maintenance of the infrastructure and support services we provided. Therefore we appeal to you once again for donations, no matter how small, to allow us continue to fulfill all aspects of our services to the elderly in need.
