At PERTAPIS we engage in self-help projects for the betterment of the community's welfare in Singapore.
As an approved charitable organization with the status of an Institution of Public Character (IPC), we aim to reach out and help the community in line with our vision: "The Best we can be in the Service to the Community"
PERTAPIS was appointed by Ministry of Community Development Youth and Sports (MCYS) on 1 July 2007 as the managing agent of Bukit Batok Hostel to conduct a supervised residential programme for its residents. It is an approved Institution for young male probationers from the age of 16 to 19 where residents are allowed to leave the Hostel for school or work.
Our Programmes
At Bukit Batok Hostel, we apply the Therapeutic Community (TC) modality which we modify to suit our system in handling adolescent. The rehabilitation programme emphasises discipline, education and vocational training, physical fitness activities and vocational activities, religious and moral guidance, training in life skills, self awareness and positive leadership.
The Hostel also provide an outdoor adventure programme for the residents to cultivate self-reliance, caring for each other, being responsible, respect for others and sense of leadership.

Our Appeal
We need volunteers to help and be part of our programmes such as Befriend Programme, Sports & Life Skill Programme and many others. Alternatively, you may wish to volunteer in organising and / or joining in excursions for our residents.
We also need help from donors and sponsors to sustain the operational cost of our programmes, maintenance of the infrastructure and support services we provided. Therefore we appeal to you once again for donations, no matter how small, to allow us continue to fulfill all aspects of our services to the boys in need.
