Welcome!

At PERTAPIS we engage in self-help projects for the betterment of the community's welfare in Singapore.

As an approved charitable organization with the status of an Institution of Public Character (IPC), we aim to reach out and help the community in line with our vision: "The Best we can be in the Service to the Community"

PERTAPIS managed to be in the forefront of providing the community with assistance from the services it provided. But what of the future challenges? The challenges that lie ahead are numerous under the current economic circumstances. The Executive Committee is aware of these issues and has identified three main areas as extremely significant.

Finance

Except for the five welfare homes that are funded, PERTAPIS does not receive any funding for the other welfare services provided to the community. As a non-government organisation, we have to conduct fund raising activities to generate funds to meet the recurring expenditures. We have to market our services for donors and sponsors support. PERTAPIS welcome any donation made locally or abroad.

Manpower

Quality staffs are our most important resource. The quality of our programmes and services depends significantly on the quality of the staff. PERTAPIS needs good quality, competent and dedicated staff to work together and deliver unmatched programmes and services.

Good Governance

PERTAPIS, as a volunteer welfare organisation need capable, strong and dedicated Executive Committee Members (Board of Members) to manage the organisation. The Committee is responsible for the organisation’s public standing. The Executive Committee, as trustees of the organisation is ultimately accountable to its private and public contribution.

Towards this end, all PERTAPIS accounts are audited by a Certified Public Accountant. The Annual Reports are distributed to the Registrar of Societies and also to other government agencies and ministries.
